Rain in the morning, Kreuzberg 36 in the afternoon
This morning I was up before Neil and coffee and breakfast before he surfaced. It was raining until midday but then appeared dry. We decided to walk to Maybach Ufer to the Türkenmarkt and then go further to Görlitzer Park to check out a life music bar called Wild At Heart. It's a quite famous location for Punk and Rock gigs. We have missed that so far and planned to go there soon. On market I bought a bag of cherries that I started eating immediately. This made me very happy! I have not had cherries for years and they were fantastic. From the Market we walked to the famous Coffee Roasters called Five Elephant in Reichenberger Strasse. We sat outside and had 2 coffees each and discussed if we will buy the chair or not. No result though! Neil found another online shop with quite quirky armchairs, which did not help. Unfortunately they do not have a shop in Berlin .... this does not help either.
After the coffees we continued walking until we reached Wiener Strasse. Wild at Heart looks interesting! There was a PunkRock Concert in the evening - music starts at 10 pm. Next door was the more then quirky Tiki Heart, where you get cocktails and all sorts of burgers in Tiki Style. This place looked fun too!
We wanted to get home before the Markthalle closes and were running slightly late already. U-Bahn Görlitzer Bahnhof was temporarily closed, so we looked for a Drive-Now Mini. This was another 10 minutes walk back to where we came fom, but we were home in the Kietz within 10 minutes and made it to the Markthalle before closing. We got some food and went to Kaiser's to stock up water.
Back home I edited the photos of the day. The Macbook is so fast! I love it.
We had late dinner and then played a new board game.
The Blip is showing the Five Elephant Cafe. They are also famous for their Philadelphia Cheesecake, but we did not have any.
