Johan Sverdrup Jacket

Very early this morning, the two tugs towing the barge H-851 arrived in the field. On the barge, you'll see the Sverdrup Jacket which will be launched horizontally from this barge. In order to do so, the barge will be exessively trimmed over her stern. This trim will create an auto-launch condition as soon as the seafastening plates are cut and the jacket will slide off the barge into her element. It will give quite a splash because the weight of this jacket, the heaviest in the North Sea, is about 26.000 metric tons. Hopefully this can be captured tomorrow.
