Always a friend of trees

On our walks or outings she'll say, "I want to get one of those for my backyard." If she'd acquired one of every tree she has admired, she'd have had a thick forest surrounding her house. Now I steer her back to her new reality, mentioning the Silverado courtyard and all its pretty trees and flowers. She'll agree, but only in that half committed way that lets me know she doesn't know what I'm talking about.

When we got back to Silverado after this outing at Whatcom Falls Park she said her usual about me not putting her to sleep in there and then, "Oh, I've been here before." She seemed okay with it.
