Tawny traffic accident

Perhaps not the most pleasant of subjects today, but one that had the biggest impact on me. I was cycling through the Home Park this morning and saw this dead Tawny Owl lying in the gutter, presumably having been hit during the night by a vehicle. It was an opportunity for a close-up view of a more elusive bird, and I was surprised by its diminutive size.
