Somethings never change.

Okay, so the colours might be a bit more vibrant and the materials have changed, but what is it about older people that the style of clothes they wear, doesn't have appeared to have changed. After taking this shot, I realised that fast rewinding this some four decades, that could be my gran. Technology may have influenced the shopping basket, but the apparel could be the same as yesteryear. What is it about these knitting nanas, in that they suddenly appear to regress into an old staid style. Surely this cannot be down to the racks of clothes in all these charity shops. It is like they have purposely raided their mothers wardrobe. The beret, the brogues the "mac", it is like a uniform. Up to a certain age, the fashion catalogue rules then suddenly the hat pin is king. And it is not only confined to women, "Bamps", also joins in with his dai cap or trilby, tweed jacket.
Mind you it might be a good thing. I don't think I would look forward to my twilight years, with the thought of younger generation seeing me as mutton dressed as jam,
