Free Firewood

The Council has been to the lake and cut up the tree trunk, so people can help themselves to free firewood.  By the time I got there there was only a few pieces of the rotten wood left.  I thought it would make nice kindling, so bought some home.  There was a man there with a hammer tapping on the poplars that were still standing.  He was very interested in one that had a hollow ring to it.  I thought that it will be the next one to go.  I hope they cut it down before it falls onto some poor innocent soul.

Had a nice cuppa with my photography friends, then walked down to the lake to clock up my 8,000 steps before the rain arrives.
