Carré, the royal theater

We attended our first performance in royal theater Carré in Amsterdam today. And quite what a performance! It was the theater adaptation of Danish hit series Borgen - a nine hour (!) theater play, with the food served to the audience when (and what) the characters were also eating (the big dinner break made for this very Dutch image). 
What a feat! Special added dimension was that we watched this play on the life of a female prime minister while we happened to be seated next to one of The Netherlands' former prime ministers :)
