A slice of Lesley's life

Such Fun

Having spent pretty much the entire day with Anna I can say from a position of confidence that she has a splendidly entertaining variety of facial expressions. I think this one is basically why are you taking photos when there is good food to be eaten.

So, the day in brief:
Dog walk

Hand therapy for Anna (ulnar collateral ligament for the medically minded). Some exercises including, to the absolute joy of an inveterate fiddler, therapeutic putty.

Secondary school uniform shopping for Anna with her friend Evelyn and her mom, Liz. Much exuberance in the shop but the experienced assistants did a splendid job of herding them into all the things they require.

The girls headed off to Starbucks for some celebratory Frappiwotsit and me and Liz headed somewhere else for a civilised cup of tea.

Into town for dinner at Jamie's Italian. Then the highlight of our day seeing Miranda Hart in Annie. Really fun show with a very satisfying load of bonus tap dancing and a signature walk down from Miranda. And so many games of Tube Station riddles, A-Z word association and total disassociation.

Oh, and a child who is happy for me to both sing and dance down the street. Step ball changing whilst it lasts.

Lovely day,
Lesley x
