Steak On A Stone

Finally got all my blips up to date. I hope you have been enjoying them.

We cured the six month long drought here today. There was a decent amount of rain overnight, and two decent down pours whilst we were by the pool, but then, as always is the way on this island, it cleared up and we had a glorious second half of the day.

Tonight's food was brought to you courtesy of The Real Canoa again. It was another speciality dish of the island. Tonight I had steak on a stone. This is a meal that contravenes all the health and safety laws back home. They bring you a slab of stone that is heated to like a thousand degrees, and your chosen food, whether that be steak, prawns, pork, chicken or tuna, is then cooked and marinated on it. Think sizzling steaks back home but done on a much grander scale!

I am stuffed now! It's a quick snifter and then bed. We are on safari tomorrow!
