Caught in the downpour

Today I took the afternoon off work and headed to London.

I explored the Thames Barrier area which was really interesting, walked in a park and found some of the finest specimens of Echinacea I've ever seen, got caught in a huge downpour where I had to shelter under a flyover (took this picture mid downpour- you may be able to make out the familiar shape of the Canary Warf skyline.

In the evening I had a nice Lebanese meal and discovered kiwi, lemon and honey as an amazing drink which I will try to recreate at some point over the summer.

My plan for today is to explore the Excel conference area which looks vast and then head over to Kensington
