Test Ride

Read so much about the Honda CTX1300, reviews, videos, forums etc. that it just had to be tried.
Thunderroad, Gloucester, have one in and said I could take it out for an hours test ride. Photo (Extra) is at the top of Crickley Hill, near the village of Birdlip, with the Vale of Gloucester in the background.
People not interested in bikes or of a sensitive nature can switch off now.......

Verdict is that is a superb bike to ride, very smooth, manouverable, responsive right through the range of the gears. Didn't even change down to overtake but accelerated in 5th gear and sailed by.
Obviously heavier and a little taller than the Shadow but felt so good.
Quote for part exchange, pillion backrest, fog lamps awaited. It already has the taller windshield and centre stand which are not standard.
They had a Gold Wing come in yesterday, also in white. Very nice indeed but it will be at least £5,000 more expensive I would think. See it in the background in the extras.
