Baby pigeon

A pigeon made her nest on a chicken perch in their barn. She used the thatch from our gazebo and laid two eggs.

On our return from holiday I saw that one of the eggs had hatched and a little yellow chick was sitting in the nest. Mum flies off when I am inside the barn so i was able to take a picture of her baby. It's a very dark corner so the chick is hardly visible. I just hope it survives and doesn't become a meal for a rat.
