Daylily in the Oregano

For Flower Friday I collected this, my favourite golden daylily, as it grows among the oregano.. Nowadays nearly everything is growing with oregano. It is working so well that I think I will transplant some to other beds and just let it go. It bloom for about 2 months, is edible and very hardy. Bees and flies love it. What more could we want? It has sprouted in the cracks of the walkway, too. I started it in only one place 8 years ago and now it wants to own the property!


We had had pounding rains with thunderstorms every day and night until today. The poor oregano had been laid low but seems to have popped up again. No telling if the grass will ever get mowed again.
