Beneath Biscay

By Douglian

A glass...

... or two of Galician 'Albariño' wine on the terrace of the Auga restaurant next to the marina. This was after earlier drinking a bottle of locally brewed pale ale. Our wine glasses are still on the table in the extra of the Auga restaurant. The wine was srved with tapas of olives and also bread and cecina. Cecina is similar to spanish ham, like jamon serrano, except that it isn't made from pork. Instead it's normally made from beef. It doesn't have the sweetness of jamon bit it does have a pleasant earthiness.
