Bali Boreh

This cake was entirely inspired by a spa treatment I had in Bali recently. It was called Boreh and was a spice mask of ginger, cloves, nutmeg, coriander, pepper and mosai wood mixed with ground rice. It smelled heavenly (like cake and beeswax) and had the strangest effect. After application to the skin, it felt extremely cold, but in the following 15 minutes it became deliciously warm. And my skin glowed afterwards! Do seek out this treatment if you are in Bali. In the meantime, shortly I'll blog about the cake, which is so reminiscent of the spa!
