B.A.C.K. to Basics

Mmmm, I've been picking off the larger sprouts as they arrive. They are delicious! I love brussel sprouts and had always enjoyed the frozen variety - fresh is even better! The color after they're cooked is what caught my attention first - a vibrant, deep green.

Per the Johnny's Seeds catalog, fall is the time when the sprouts grow and sweeten. I'm hopeful that within the next couple of weeks, I can harvest some to freeze.... to be honest though - I'm thinking I'll be eating them as they become ready. Yummy!
