Elusive Peacock
Nearly every year the Peacock butterfly is probably one of the most common, but this year it's been different. The Red Admirals and Commas are fluttering around happily but the Peacock and the Small Tortoishells are conspicuous by their absence.
I pulled up by Muckley Corner Open Space where there's a large purple buddleia and the sun came out briefly. There were two peacocks, nearly the first I've seen this time.
I was returning from the Garden Centre. I've bought some blue hydrangeas from Lidl and I'm delighted with them. Blue hydrangeas (used as hedges on the island of Terceira) remind me of my trip to the Azores so I was a bit bothered to see these turning pink, almost before my eyes. I googled it and bought some stuff that they say will help.
Anyone got any tips ?
