Helter-skelter

By Juli

Up.

September Challenge Day 22.

My insomnia was well-rewarded in the early hours of this morning by the most amazingly clear, starry sky. When I went out to look at it I saw a shooting star - not realising until I saw on the news about a hour later that there had, in fact been quite a spectacular meteor shower overnight - but there was no chance of capturing it in a photo!

Today is the Autumnal Equinox, when day and night are roughly equal all around the world. For us in the Northern Hemisphere, of course, it means that summer is well and truly over! Looking up, here is Venus, with the sun just about to emerge on the horizon.

Busy day ahead taking my daughter to her sewing lesson, running a few errands in town, probably doing several loads of washing then getting the kids to two different parties at the same time. Just a typical Saturday!
