Inspired

As I drove her home, I asked Bella what she'd liked best about our sleepover. Instant answer: the art museum. She was entranced by tree videos (not a typo--videos of paintings of trees that grow, flower, leaf, turn orange, lose their leaves, and stand leafless) created by Jennifer Steinkamp, but what inspired her most were massive collages sparkling with tiny jewels and glitter, by Raqib Shaw. 

We spent our morning together making collages inspired by his work.
