National Tree Day

Today is National Tree Day and we should be out planting one. I will pass on that and enjoy the ones I have in my garden. This particular tree houses an elk fern which I keep taking cuttings from and nailing them to other trees. The bushes in the background are rhododendrons.
The extra photo is the bark of a pine tree which the cockatoos keep stripping. I do not mind if they keep to the tree and do not attack my garden furniture and the house as they have done in the last three years.
