Well, as the Ferry now sails from from the pontoon , the public access corridor on the pier was open .

This restaurant is on the Town Pier , and the corridor is , in effect Gateway to Essex ,and also gateway to my trip to Southend and the Thames forts in two weeks :).

Toodle pip and make the most of the sun , as the Earth has decided to skip Autumn this year and go straight to Winter ...starting tomorrow :)
