Patience....

Proof that patience eventually pays off...
I went to the nature reserve today and sat waiting for the swallows to start skimming the pond. Having given myself a numb bum i got up to sit on the bench and there were 3 fledgling swallows already sitting on it. 2 flew off as i approached but the 3rd sat and let me get really close and didn't seem at all phased to have a camera in his face. 
Just the best start to the day :)
