A fine bit of kit

The guys were out putting their models through their paces on the pond at Inverleith Park. This is  1930s trawler - the Boston Typhoon. The kit sells for £645 and you can buy it here if you're looking for a new hobby or if you're looking for a new hobby for someone else ;-). I was talking to the owner's mate who was piloting a IIWW auxiliary tugboat. He reckoned it took him 18 months to complete. That a lot of time not getting in someone else's hair, I reckon.

A mega shop later at TKMaxx. Trousers for the expanded Florentine waistband - hipsters are so last year and peak beard has surely passed by now.

BBQ kit including ingenious metal trays with holes in the bottom to cook little items and stop them falling into the fire, mats for the car, a wallet, and a 'wife beater' (as I believe they are know colloquially in Australia) - a black singlet for sculpture work under the Tuscan sun.

Wearing it out for an in-house show created more than a little mirth with The Boss who made me promise never to wear it 'in company'.

Edinburgh looking splendid. Anyone with an eye for west coast art might take a look at the interesting paintings by Ron Lawson soon to be on display at Aplha Art in Hamilton Place near Stockbridge. His website is here
