Summer Isles boat trip. Grey day with misty rain, that eased later. On the exposed Minch side of the islands things were a bit lumpier, especially when fairly close in, and the incoming waves intermingled with those reflected from the rocky islands.
Judging from a name and address entry at the back of my diary from this year, it's likely that the boat was the Hectoria. The phone number may have changed from, Achiltibuie 200...
No photos taken yesterday. The weather was hellish. Strong winds and heavy rain. Whilst waiting for the ferry at Kylesku (they started making a bridge there this month), I had some brief shelter in a phone box, and phoned home. Couldn't hear much over the howling wind, and then one of the other waiting passengers knocked to tell me the bike had just blown over. Mostly okay, but a wee £40 handlebar fairing, fitted just before heading North, was cracked. Stayed overnight at the Achmelvich YH, and paid a visit to the Hermit's House, by the beach.
