What’s inside your watering can?!

Couldn’t work out why the water wouldn’t come out of the watering can this morning, then when I tipped it up to see what was blocking the spout, out fell this little fellow! Though he wasn’t actually that little, about 10cm long, he just looks tiny as the grass is so long, it’s just been too wet to cut. At first I thought the frog must have been trapped and drowned in the watering can as he didn’t move an inch, but after a couple of hours, thankfully he hopped into the flower bed. I have no idea where he came from, or how he ended up in the watering can, he certainly gave me a surprise!

I don’t know why I bothered watering the garden tubs though, it’s been a day of torrential downpours, though the hail and thunder that were forecast thankfully never arrived. I have to keep reminding myself that it really is Summer, things are starting to feel decidedly autumnal…
