Iona Ferry

We were on a road trip to the south end of the island today for the famous Uisken Beach Games. What a brilliant day out! Some new games had been added to the list (you'll have to come along next year to find what Granny Bowling is!) but my personal favourite is still Iona Ferry (pictured). Teams consist of "2 big ones and 2 little ones" a fishing box and 3 floats. The "2 big ones" carry the "ferry" but aren't allowed to load or unload so the take one of the little ones, then return to be loaded (only one item at a time), with the final ferry load being the "2nd little one". It's pretty chaotic and any ferry passengers need to be ready for accidents.
I think we need to get a raft entered for next year though as there were only 2 entrants this time round.
