Went up to Nuneaton with Chris to drop his time sheet off.
Walking through the town I spotted this statue of Mary Ann Evans also known as George Eliot.
Adam Bede, Silas Marner and The Mill on the Floss are amongst the many works written under her pen name as it was the only way to ensure her books were taken seriously in a time when female novelists were associated with romantic novels
