Gravel Pit meadow
This morning, after a trip to the farm shop, making some purchases and staying on for a bacon sandwich and coffee, I called in at the gravel pit meadow. As yesterday there was a lovely variety of butterflies, moths, bees, darters and blue damselfly. It was quite breezy so all my quarry tended to land in sheltered places that made capture quite difficult. I was there for about an hour a I was very surprised at the number of decent shots I managed to secure.
My blip for today is a common blue that has just landed on a birdsfoot trefoil. I have a lovely sequence of it, taken over a period of one minute.
