On holiday

Not the best start. Ear ache all night. However, I rang the out-of-hours doctor at the hospital and by 8:30 she had seen me and given me some large antibiotics As what I thought was ear ache was also sinusitis. I didn't want to be looking for a doctor and dealing with travel insurance on my first day away.

Things picked up from there with a great service to mark the end of the holiday club and a full church. A quick lunch followed by rapid loading of car (including dash back to Torteval for a couple of forgotten things!) before driving to the harbour to catch the ferry. This is the view from the window as we left. The 'life-saving' boats quite literally. The RNLI lifeboat my be familiar but the yellow and black boat is the Flying Christine that acts as ambulance to the smaller islands in the Balliwick.

Now settled in a hotel before we pick up our caravan from storage tomorrow for two weeks of bliss.
