Love's Young Dream...

I was still up editing photos of puppies at 2am this morning (couldn't stop, they're just so adorable) so slept until 9.30am.

Agnes and Adrian came up this afternoon for a special afternoon tea to celebrate their 30th Wedding Anniversary, which is on Tuesday.  Of course the sun shone whilst we sat in the garden room eating dainty sandwiches followed by scones, carrot cake and cookies but as soon as I suggested we pop out to the garden to get some anniversary photos, the sky darkened and the rain came on.  I am sure this pair summoned the rain gods as they are very reluctant models.

Eventually the rain stopped so I forced them out and I spent a fun 10 minutes making them pose in all sorts of ridiculous ways, in order to get them relaxed enough to finally get a naturally smiley shot, rather than them both channeling Wallace and Gromit with their rigour mortis grins!

I love the bones of this pair.  The four of us have been through thick and think together and we still come up smiling.  None of us can believe they've been married for 30 years!  

I started going out with David first then Adrian asked Agnes out a few months later and they beat us to the alter by two years.  Agnes was 19 and Adrian was 21.  Just babies!  You can see their wedding photo HERE.   

And here they are 30 years later, older and definitely not any wiser but still our best pals and still as much, if not more, in love than they ever were.

And they said it wouldn't last ;-))
