Glacier camp

And at last the weather is bucking up.  

We could see this huge glacier from miles away and it took an age to paddle up to here.  According to the map, the glacier snout used to be 2 miles behind us so there has been a huge retreat in a short time.  The scouring and moraine on the hillside to the right show the previous extent of the ice.

Considering it was on glacial debris, our camp site was very comfortable.  We had our first campfire of the trip using wood we had collected from out lunchtime landing.
