Lambton Park

This is part of my usual cycle route and another shot of the Lambton Estate. I took it peering through the gates which are why they are visible in the shot. The curved shadow above was created by the stone archway which can be seen here. I'd love to be able to get onto the estate to explore it further and take some shots of the castle but unfortunately it's now closed to the public. I can remember visiting this place as a small child when it used to have the Lion Park. It's such a shame it didn't survive especially when you see similar places making a go of it now.

I'm looking forward to catching up with friends this evening who are coming over for dinner :)
