Souvenir
We brought home the menu from last night's wonderful meal.
It is hard to say which dish was the best, there was such a variety of tastes on each plate. Little blobs of lemon grass meringue! Basil pannacotta! Before we even started the meal proper we had "breadsticks" the thickness of matchsticks which we dipped into cream cheese and truffle mousse and then into three varieties of salt, French, Himalayan or black volcanic Hawaian. They all tasted like salt to me, but we felt very exotic!
I'm glad we don't have this sort of experience very often (well never actually) as we wouldn't appreciate it nearly as much and get so excited if it was commonplace.
