A Year Has Passed Since I wrote My Note...
When I was younger, (cause I'm still pretty much young), my mate and I used to scour the beach for bottles, eager to find a message in a bottle.
A message from millions of miles away, a message of hope, a message of love, a message of "SOS". Any message. We found one once. It was "hello, I threw this into the sea at Millport".
It wasn't very exciting.
I read about the man last week who threw 2,000 bottles looking for love into the sea. He lost his wife to cancer a few years earlier, and taking inspiration from Sting, that master of Tantric Romance, he decided on a message in a bottle, rather than Swiping Right on TInder.
He was reported for littering to SEPA by residents of Newton Stewart, who then also formed a human net and retrieved all 200 of the bottles thrown into the River Cree.
What can we learn from this?
If you are looking for love, look somewhere other than Along the River Cree.
Note: Delighted to see the Removal of the Slimeball Saramoucci - I am hoping this is the beginning of the end .
