A day and a half

Packing up a big family, the house and the pets isn't easy so leaving took a mighty effort.

We arrived at brother and sister-in-laws who live in such a huge vicarage, they call it Downton.
And it is huge. Every room is dressed perfectly, like a magazine, including those shoes dominating one window sill.

Cholmeley is staying there for 2 weeks but it won't be easy for him. Their dog is kept in a utility room and left in the yard through the day. Cholmeley prefers human company so he was yelping. :(

Then onto Elbows Uncle and Aunt. Those paintings are of the kids Great great great Uncle, who was an Irish MP and a judge. Only the boys get to be in the picture note!!!!!

Then, we rushed off to the airport and managed to fly to Italy in half the time that we'd spent in the car today.

So we end our day in a cheapie airport motel - onwards in the morning, to a very interesting place to stay ... I cant wait to see it, having never stayed in a monastery before.

The nicest bit though, was seeing our lot play ball together on the vicarage front lawn.
