A newcomer to the Edinburgh Doors Open, this hotel was originally built as a home for John Ritchie Findlay, of The Scotsman fame , remodelled by Sydney Mitchell, in a style similar to the Scotsman building on North Bridge.

A difficult choice of pictures, the ornate hall, a wonderful galleried library, or the stunning view across Well Court, a philanthropic venture by Findlay, in providing low-cost housing for workers.
