Up and Down

So the holiday begins. An early start for us all, we flew from Luton to Basel and then picked up a hire car and drove to Rust in Germany, home of the Europa Park theme park. Tomorrow we hit the park but we've had a chilled evening in a hotel which is in walking distance of the main gates.  Annie and the girls are now amusing themselves watching The Simpsons in German to see how much they can translate!

Immy and Rosie have visited the park before on their German exchanges but it will be first time for Annie and I. Judging by the look of this ride (which I was able to photograph by standing in the middle of the main road that runs underneath it) we'll be taking a few sharp intakes of breath tomorrow!!
