Animals in Eskdale

I ordered a rather posh wooden jigsaw the other day. Surprisingly, it arrived today.

Steve mentioned tiny Tuesday, so I took out some of the 'whimsy' shaped pieces and lined them up. The picture, which you can see in part behind, is called Spring in Eskdale , by James McIntosh Patrick. The colours are stunning.

Our extended family, when it was smaller, once had a family holiday in the Eskdale area. We used to travel around on the 'Ratty', the Ravenglass and  Eskdale narrow gauge railway, and bathe in the river. Happy Days!
