Afternoon Clouds ...

... about 5 pm, on a hot day (low 90˚s F, ca. 33˚ C).  They're cumulus clouds, of course--much the most common. (Next day note:  The small bird is clearly a chimney swift--a number of them nest in the large brick condominium next door,)
