before the rain

Awful afternoon . We decided to go to Runnymede to show Christie where the Magna Carta was signed this morning. We had an hour or so in Egham last evening when Matt told her about the history of Magna carta. Spent an hour here then went on to the Windsor farm shop for coffee and she indulged in a cream tea!.
As we left Runnymede I saw a red kite in flight and really wanted to take a picture but by then it was a bit mizzly. Instead of going to Bushy park we then went to Windsor for lunch and by now it was tipping it down. Got thoroughly wet and cold on the way back to the car. 
Both kids asleep now as jet lag kicks in. Tomorrow is another adventure waiting to happen
