Monbretia on a Rainy Day

I know they're usually called Crocosmia these days but I quite like the name Monbretia and they are a bright spot in the garden on a rainy day. It's been tipping down all day, not quite as hard as it sounded overnight but pretty constant.

We were up early today. Lady Marian had to go into Torbay Hospital for a procedure so after all her taking me to the hospital lately for eye appointments it was a change for me to drive her in. I was able to collect her at lunchtime and she's sitting quietly feeling a bit tender.
