An odd couple days, John's bag was returned yesterday but around the same time a call from home to say one of our 'boys' wasn't looking good. Somehow the previous day he had found a way across the burn and large field to the neighbours driveway and into the road. He is blind poor boy and I'm sure confused. With the help of a very considerate driver and most of the neighbours and our poor house sitters he was returned home, he didn't look too bright yesterday and the sitters phoned the vet but no appointment avaiable until this afternoon. Thankfully the outcome was 100% better than hoped, he perked up by the time the vet examined him.

To help get through the day we travelled out to a lake on the tram but on the return journey the tram police caught us out; yes we had bought a ticket but hadn't thought to validate it. (Push it into a little yellow machine on the tram). An on the spot fine of around £50.00 between us. My first ticket for anything ever. I was mad but we were at fault, hadn't given it a thought with our heads waiting for a phone call from home.

Anyway the fine was worth it to know the vet had decided the boy was ok.
