Grey dagger moth caterpillar
The caterpillar is prettier than the moth!
Helen is home for the weekend. Managed to fill the afternoon (after a lazy morning) with shopping for Helen - dresses for work, car servicing etc. Bit of gardening when we got back and now we're going to veg in front of tv!
We found this gorgeous creature on the blueberry bush. Had to do internet search to find out what it was. The grey dagger is a noctuid moth (active at night). It gets its name from the black dagger-like markings on its grey wings.
Had to do a focus stack to get all of it sharp.
