Garlic plait
A race against the weather today down at the allotment. Harvesting onions and shallots, picking more beans, beetroot, courgettes, potatoes, cabbage and lettuce. Then the rains came down so we beat a hasty retreat home. This year's garlic has been sorted and plaited by Susan and look good hanging on the garage wall.
Quite autumnal this afternoon with heavy rain, lowering skies and gusty winds. I applied a second coat of primer and undercoat to the studio floor, only two coats of "diamond hard" floor paint to do now. After that it'll be fitting the work tops to finish off the interior.
The abysmal weather relented enough for a late evening walk in the damp gloom which has attracted out many amphibians, more tiny frogs and one full grown adult crossed our path. The rain held off but it was spitting in the wind but oh so mild and clammy.
