Early (updated)
Thought I'd blip early before a windy walk up Cuckoo Lane and Pullens End to the hosp.
An August gale blowing here cross the wide shallow valley of the Thames. Clouds scudding and rain threatening.
I'll update later on Mum's progress.
This is a rather beautiful wire hand on the wall of the house where I am staying.
Many thanks for messages of support from Blippers and Facebookers to Anna. I'll pass them on today. It means a lot
Update - really much much later towards the midnight hour - we are optimistic that a transfer backbthe the N H - nursing home- will happen in the midst of the ward transfer.
Already this evening the ward felt like a ghost ward as all stops across the county were pulled out to shift people to community hosps and other convalescent possibilities.
Mum and I played cards and chatted away. G called in and later Al.
Later we talked about our dad dead these twenty five years since. Puzzles to unpick and harsh judgements to be reeled in and cast out more gently again.
History a constantly moving train shifting from track to track. Brave the man who'd stop it forever cast in stone.
