What a difference a day makes! Day 7

After a beautiful sunset we woke up to rain? well it is the start of the rainy season in Cape Verde (found this out when we arrived funnily enough) and it rained all day! Thought I was back at work with sand bags and power cuts!
This pic was taken first thing in the morning and the 2 birds sat in the same position for about 15 mins. Maybe it was their first shower in a few months? The overflow pipes later on in the day were like waterfall features, unfortunately the room above us the pipe could not cope as the water was pouring in our room through the smoke alarm! and also in the bedroom windows, so extra towels were required!
