Romanesco broccoli

After pilates I went for a walk round Ormskirk market. It's a real old school market. I stopped at the veg stall and when I bought a cauliflower I was asked did I want to buy a romanesco. I said yes, I knew it would photograph well but had no idea how it would taste. I had some with caulie and broccoli with my salmon tonight and it had a lovely flavour.
This afternoon I tidied up the beech hedge, the wind was blowing and some of the bits were blown down the road. I ran after the big bits but left the little leaves!
