Afternoon walk
We had to spend the morning at home waiting for the boiler and broadband men - at leas they were both coming on the same day.
The boiler man was lovely and dished lots of dirt on the last occupants - he didn't seem too impressed with them. He extolled the virtues of the estate we rent the property from - they own most of this village, all of the next village and most of a neighboring village, plus much of the local town, and they never, ever sell a property. Thankfully for us, they are very good land lords, the neighboring estate are - according to our intuition and the boiler man's experience dreadful and in a 'mess'.
We had to get out by the afternoon, otherwise the boys would have gone stir crazy - we had a walk up one of the local lanes and bumped into my one friend in the village (I think a month in, having a friend in the village already is pretty good). We managed to avoid the rain - which is quite a feat at the moment!
