Dawn on Sumner Beach ...

Down on the beach first thing, with crispy frost on the sand, gulls wheeling and calling, and beautiful peace; glorious! mpp26 and I met there for the sunrise, and although there was only a brief hint of sun, the colour in the clouds and reflections, and the blue hour, was wonderful. The light on the Southern Alps was amazing. Do check M's image - very different from mine. We were just facing in different directions!
