Diagonals

Day 4's prompt of #AYWMC #30DaysOfComposition August challenge is 'Diagonals'. My photos for the previous prompts (Viewpoint, Framing and Negative Space) are only on Instagram (@hilsdickson) but my blip August will double up from now on (anything for an easy life!).

I dragged Son 2 out to the Pottery Cafe to try and find some diagonal-ish things to capture with the promise of a cappuccino and cake.  He has been holed up, bored as anything, at home for the past week as all his friends have simultaneously left the country to go on holiday so it wasn't difficult to tempt him out. We tried hard to find some strong diagonals but these roof tiles were the best we could do. (And seeing as 'done is better than perfect' I was happy to run with them)

While we were hunting diagonals W drove  off down to see his mum, still very poorly, and to get an update on how things are. It was a subdued evening after he got back as the news, although no surprise, wasn't the sort to fill one with hope.
